The Ria Reece Band is Alternative Rhythm & Blues. Powerful and soulful, Ria’s haunting vocals take center stage. Among many, the band’s most notable influences are the Classic R&B sounds of Etta James and Marvin Gaye; and the more modern sounds of Soul-Rock bands such as Alabama Shakes and Vintage Trouble.
Released in 2013, Ria Reece Band - Self Titled reached Folk/Roots/Blues Top 10 on several reporting stations for Earshot’s national campus and community radio report. The album also received positive reviews from international press. I Am Entertainment magazine stated that ‘’...Overall, The Ria Reece Band and their self-titled LP can only be described as, greatness’’. In the summer of that year, the band performed in the Québec Summer Festival, a major player on the music festival circuit.
In 2014, The Ria Reece Band and their self titled debut album were nominated for two Québec Lys Blues awards; ‘’Blues & Associated Styles Album of the Year’’ and ‘’Breakout Artist’’. They were also finalists in the Toronto Blues Society’s TBS Talent Search. In January of last year, they were invited to showcase in Blues Summit 7, Canada’s not to be missed biannual forum for all members of the blues music community. And in May, the band showcased their talent in Canadian Music Week as part of Richard Flohil's Playhouse series.
Their second album ‘’Out All Night’’ released on October 5th 2015, features a guest performance by Maple Blues Award winning harmonica player Guy Bélanger. The album was a top 4 pick by the Montreal Blues Society for ''Best Self-Produced CD'' as part of the IBC (International Blues Challenge). ''Out All Night'' is currently spinning on Stingray radio, DAWG.FM and has charted #8 on Canada's national Folk-Roots-Blues campus radio.

The Ben Racine Band

Ben’s soulful voice is reminiscent of the greatest Rhythm and Blues vocalists of the ‘50s and ‘60s. Inspired by artists such as Junior Walker, Bill Withers, Stevie Wonder and Clarence Carter, he will take you back to the days when vocals were the center point of music.

He is also a lot more than just a voice. His guitar playing covers a wide range of styles – pleasing blues and funk fans alike. From the moment he hits the stage, his contagious energy and charisma combine for a sound that is truly original. You’ll be tapping your feet within the first few notes.

The Band:

Considered as being one of the best blues sax players in Montreal, Little Frankie has won the Quebec Lys Blues Award for Musical Performance three times. Live is where he shines the most– from stages across North and South America to European festivals, his growling tones and energy are next to none. His unique and authentic sound is a tribute to sax legends J.T. Brown, Junior Walker, David “Fathead” Newman and King Curtis.

Moose has been a permanent member of the award-winning Kevin Mark Blues Band since 2004. With several albums and countless live performances both locally and abroad under his belt, he now brings his big, fat, greasy sound to the Ben Racine Band.

Sa polyvalence et son professionnalisme lui ont valu d’être considéré et reconnu par les plus grands musiciens.
